Toward the end of 2021, I was taking Carrie's hypnobabies course and realized I had better find a hypnobabies doula instead of a regular doula so that they could keep me in the right state of hypnosis during my daughter's birth. It just so happened that after interviewing a regular doula and realizing that was definitely not the right path for me, Carrie decided to open up her doula services again! My husband seemed to know before I did that Carrie would be the perfect choice and she absolutely was! Prior to the birth, I met with Carrie for some hypnotherapy sessions to ease my concerns about all the transitions to motherhood I would be faced with and this was truly the most important step for me! I am an overthinker and I worry about everything; so these sessions really comforted me and made me realize how strong and capable I truly am! When my birthing time came, I tried my best to stay calm and "in the zone" but honestly, I don't think I would have ended up giving birth to my daughter naturally if I hadn't had Carrie as my doula. She was a constant source of knowledge, calmness and strength. My birthing time lasted over 40 hours and if I hadn't had my husband and Carrie there to support and guide me, I think I would've given up long before that. It was so comforting to have someone with so much knowledge and background in my corner through the whole process. If my husband and I decide to have another child, I will definitely be using Carrie again because she was just phenomenal and I cannot thank her enough for helping bring my precious daughter into this world!
