We are officially a family of 4!! 👨👩👧🐶
Our little girl arrived on Tuesday March 26th at 2:15 pm. Her due date was March 31st, but she was eager to arrive. I thought I was having braxton hicks when I arrived at the hospital because I had no idea what I was experiencing. It turned out I was 4cm dilated. 😅 Within 20min I progressed to 5cm but since I didn't sleep well 2 nights in a row I tried sleeping through the pressure waves. Javier played the tracks through the night and they helped so much! Around 11am I went in the pool and that sped up the pressure waves. They asked me to get out and I started pushing on all fours but switched to leaning over the bed in a squatting position. I pushed for about 45min and Javier caught our baby girl!! When they placed her on my chest she was quick to latch on and started nursing! 🥰 I didn't have a quiet labor like the videos we saw, but it was still unbelievably beautiful! Javier was amazing at staying calm and reassuring me through each pressure wave. I had an unmedicated birth and only tore a bit inside. The midwives and nurses at Hoag Irvine were amazing! Thank YOU for guiding us through the classes and preparing us for our baby's arrival. ❤️ We felt so prepared going into labor because of everything you taught us. Thank you so much Carrie! We are so glad you were part of our pregnancy journey and helped prepare us for that wonderful day. We went into the delivery room prepared and with no surprises! Seriously, everything you taught us truly helped us for that day. With love, 💕 The De Luna Family
